Overview

For nearly a decade, I led the design direction for McKinsey Quarterly, shaping how its visual language and experience evolved across print and digital platforms while keeping the publication modern, engaging, and memorable. Launched by McKinsey & Company in 1964, McKinsey Quarterly is the firm’s flagship publication, bringing forward-looking business insights and ideas to readers around the world for more than 60 years. During my tenure, I helped shape how those ideas were expressed visually, creating a cohesive design experience across formats and giving each story its own distinct character and voice.

This section presents a selection of McKinsey Quarterly covers and interior pages from that period. Like any compelling story, the magazine was never created in isolation. Each issue was a collaborative effort, bringing together McKinsey’s authors and editors with illustrators and creative talent from around the world. Together, we developed a visual language that gave each story its own character, perspective, and voice.
